Richard Yaworski was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, has passed away in 2021 after a courageous battle with Cancer.

Richard is predeceased by his parents Casmier Clarence Yaworski & Bernice Yaworski (nee Henderson).

Richard was a devoted father to daughters, Carol Yaworski, Brenda-Lee McArthur & Beverly Yaworski. He is survived by 4 grandchildren, siblings Clarence Yaworski and Marlene Young as well as numerous family members across Canada, US & the Philippines.

Although questionable in his methods – his daughters’ favourite memories are of him teaching them windsurfing (“Just hold on”), skateboarding (“Don’t let go”), skiing (“I’ll see you down the hill”) & driving a car (“Do seatbelts count?”). He loved photography, scuba diving, squash, motorcycles & Judo. Richard was an avid traveler which expanded into multiple countries (Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Iran, Iraq, Philippines, Mexico, Europe).

He worked overseas in the Oil & Gas Plants (Iran for 2 years) and came home to Canada to work in the Sulphur plants in the North West Territory. Richard eventually retired from C.W. Carry Ltd. after 30 years.

One of Richard’s greatest loves was investing in the stock market (a shared passion with his parents), in addition to computer programming & technology.

Richard was a kind, giving, & quiet soul who gave the best advice to those he loved. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, love of food, sense of adventure, quick wit and to teach and inspire everyone around him to continue learning.

Richard’s interment will be at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery should anyone wish to pay a visit.

The family wishes to thank the Cross-Cancer Society for their kindness & care.

If you wish, donations may be made to Cross Cancer Society.

I worked with Richard at CW Carry for 3 years before he retired. He was always willing to help his coworkers out and enjoyed showing us how things worked. I remember him taking apart our sales order printer, vacuuming it out and setting it up again. He didn’t complain or grumble about it ever! Richard was a pleasure to work with and loved to laugh. He was kind and gentle. We will miss him. Condolences and prayers to his family.

I worked with Rich for a few years at CW Carry, and learned an immense amount from him about this business as well as the stock market. Rich was always eager to help and learn, and it was a true pleasure to have known him. Miss having him around here for sure. God bless you all, we’re thinking of you!
