WYTON, Marion Jean

Somewhere in heaven, sits a thatched-roof cottage on a windswept seashore. The breeze blows in a cool fog across a rocky shoreline. In the cottage, wrapped in a cozy blanket and perched in an overstuffed chair sits an old soul warmed by a roaring fire. Jean is home now, in a place she has always belonged, in the place of her dreams.

Her thoughts will wander and weave through the path of her long life stopping first to swell with pride for her three sons. She knows she has left them in good hands with the support of their strong and loving wives. Then off in the distance, echoed in the calling of the seabirds, she hears the voices of her grandchildren and great grandchildren calling to Nana or Granny. She knows that in those lives, her memory and love will survive for generations to come.

As she sits by the fire reunited with Lawrence, she will ponder the life well lived, the journey taken, and the love she has sown. In all this, she will rest with the realization that in eternity and for eternity, all her dreams have come true. God has given her the desires of her heart.

We miss you already. Whether we call you Nana, Granny, Auntie, Sister, Friend, or Mom, you have been loved and cherished by each of us. Enjoy your dream in your cottage by the sea. We will join you soon for tea.

At Jean’s request, there will not be a public funeral. Rather, we will gather as a family later to share our love and memories of this kind and gracious lady. In her memory, and if you wish, donations can be made to any charity of your choice that serves to improve the lives of children.
