It is with profound sadness and a broken heart I announce the passing of my lovely wife Jayne Woolliscroft.
On July 13, 2020, Mrs. Jayne Woolliscroft (Bisley) of Leduc, peacefully passed away at Leduc Hospital after suffering a long illness. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, David, mother Heather, father Timothy, aunt Marilyn, sister Lydia, brother William and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jayne was born in Halton, England. She qualified as an SRN at the Staffordshire Royal Infirmary and subsequently completed her RMN. Jayne joined the RAF where she served in both England and Europe as an officer in the Princess Mary’s Royal Air Force Nursing Service.
Jayne and David met at RAF Hospital Wegberg in Germany and they were married in 1984 at the service church at RAF Rhiendahlen. Jayne subsequently left the PMRAFNS. Returning to England a year later when she embarked on her career as a Practice Nurse enduring many moves in support of David and his RAF duties. Despite frequent moves, Jayne managed to continue her nursing study at Oxford and took many additional courses to help her patients.
Jayne and David moved to Manitoba in 1996, where she volunteered on the local ambulance, while obtaining her Canadian Nursing qualification – RN and subsequently working in the community. Jayne and David moved to Leduc in 1999 where she worked at LA Medical as a Practice Nurse. Here Jayne not only completed nursing duties but pitched in with all other aspects necessary to run a clinic. She made many friends and was highly regarded by the doctors, staff and patients. She especially enjoyed working with the pilots completing their medical examinations.
Jayne adored all animals and they also miss her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday the 26th of July 2020 at the Leduc Golf Course at 2.00pm. I recommend arriving early due to the COVID constraints. We will need a list of attendees and, although drinks will be provided, I believe it is best to avoid food. Please RSVP by email to [email protected], text or messenger.
The service will be live-streamed at
If friends wish to make a donation in Jaynes memory I humbly request they be made to either Leduc Hospital Foundation or Edmonton Humane Society.
