WOOD, William Arthur

William Arthur Wood passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2022 in Edmonton, Alberta surrounded by loved ones. William had fought a short intense battle with cancer.

William was born in Edmonton on March 22, 1964. He was raised on his Grandpa Wood’s farm near Redwater, Alberta. Bill has two beautiful daughters who were his entire world.

Willie will be forever remembered by his two daughters, Paige and Samantha Wood; his mother, Marlene Grimm; brothers and sisters; step-children; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews. Bill will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Bill spent most of his career as an oilfield truck driver and truly enjoyed the work. After years of trucking, Bill began to teach safety courses for Rick’s Oilfield.

Being on the road kept him busy but he always made time to stop for a quick visit with family and friends. Outside of work, Bill lived a life full of adventure and loved to have fun.

A graveside service will take place at the Redwater Town Cemetery on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 2pm.

What words can express our sadness. I will forever remember William as a baby and rushing home to see you as I was a first time auntie with you. To reconnect with you after years of not seeing you was truly a blessing. Now to lose you again is heartbreaking. My deepest sympathy goes out to your daughters and family. Forever in our hearts.
