Art Wolfram passed away peacefully in the evening hours of January 8, 2018 at the age of 86 years.
He immigrated to Canada in July of 1952 from Germany and later settled in the Barrhead area. Art took ill in the fall of 2016, the decision was made to move with his wife, Hertha, to Wetaskiwin to be closer to their daughter, Ericka.
Art will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Hertha; daughters, Karen (Harry) Betjan, Ericka (Dave) Reiter; sons, Heinz (Margie) and Simon; grandchildren, Torsten (Kimberly) Betjan, Naema Betjan, Justin (Netty) Reiter, Jolene Reiter, Steven (Melinda) Wolfram, Lisa (Ben) Hughes, Emelia Wolfram; great grandchildren, Levi, Juliana and Korbin Reiter, Elliott, Avery, Asher and Landon Wolfram, Caius and Titus Hughes; brother, Erich (Gudrun) Wolfram of Germany as well as many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law.
Art was predeceased by his parents, Simon & Wanda Wolfram; brother, Adolf; sister, Martha; sisters and brothers-in-law.
Arthur was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He had a great sense of humor and was a good friend to many. He was kind, understanding, reliable and a very hard-working man. He had a great passion for music which he enjoyed now in his retirement years as well as during his last months of his life.
A celebration of his life and joy for music will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of God 4407 56 Avenue, Wetaskiwin with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m.

The family would like to express a heartfelt Thank You to everyone for their support through prayers, phone calls, visitors, flowers, hugs, kind words of comfort and especially the great care of the nursing staff at the Wetaskiwin Hospital and Long-Term Care.
