It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Danne Gordon Wingrove, beloved partner, dad, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend, on September 16, 2021, in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 65.
Danne was left handed and a true master at his craft as an industrial painter/sandblaster. His attention to detail, not only made him an artist in his own right, but also made the world a more beautiful place because he had the ability to see the value in fixing things that others see as garbage. Dan loved to cook gourmet feasts for his family, to bring us all together and wouldn’t eat until we were all “stuffed to the gills”, then he was happy! He also had the “gift of gab” and could talk his way out of anything, which made him a great storyteller. He was adventurous and loved nature, his dream was to buy land in BC and retire in the warm weather and beauty. He was one of a kind and his passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts.
Danne will be lovingly remembered and forever cherished by his partner, Trish, his three daughters, Chauffe, Shelly and Rhianna (Adam), his step- children, Kesley (Darc) and the son he never had, Jesse (Tiff), as well as, his grandchildren Maliya, Selena and Stella. Fondly remembered by his sisters, Debbie, children Tina (Mike) and Doug (Kim), Sandra (Terry), children Johnathan and Mitchell and brother Dave (Ramona) and son Richard. Predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Betty Wingrove. Danne also leaves to mourn five great nieces and one great nephew and numerous relatives and friends, in both Alberta and Gananoque, Ontario. Good night, John boy!
Dan will be cremated at Serenity Funeral Service in Edmonton and a Celebration of Life will be held next year.
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
I’d like to leave a dime and bright and sunny days,
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun,
Of happy memories that I leave, when life is done.
