On February 2, 2015 Bill Barber slipped away at St. Joseph’s after a courageous battle against lung cancer.
He leaves behind his soulmate and loving wife, Deborah, several brothers, nieces, nephews and brothers-in-law: Dan (Rose) and Rick; sisters-in-law: Tara (Tom) and Wilma, as well as extended relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Bill started his military career in 1976 and became a member of the Second Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment. Bill was honorably discharged in 1982. Bill finished his career as a Driver Supervisor with the Edmonton Journal for Dynamex.
A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre Edmonton South located on 4235 Gateway Boulevard N, Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of flowers donations in Bill’s honour may be made to the Canadian Military’s Canadian Hero Fund or to the Alberta – NWT Lung Association.
