WHITTAKER, Philip James

It is with profound sadness that the family of Philip Whittaker announce his passing at the age of 53 years after a short illness.

Philip, a Red Seal Chef trained at NAIT, will be remembered for his love of the culinary process and the creativity he added to many family meals over the years.

Born in Oakville, ON, raised in Barrie, ON and Grande Prairie, AB, Philip lived most of his adult life in Sherwood Park. He honed his skills in the kitchens of Edmonton and area for the last 25 years and owned every cookbook ever written it seemed!

“PJ” to his Mom and Dad, he is survived by his mother Freda Whittaker of Sherwood Park, AB, as well as his brother Paul (Heather) and his sister Meryl (Walter), nephew Robert, and nieces Ally, Tess, Teagan, Morgan, and Hannah.

Philip sadly now joins his father Roy Whittaker, who passed away in 2014.

No funeral service will be held.  Condolences may be shared below or mailed to Serenity Funeral Service, 5311 91 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 6E2.
