Frank passed away on April 25, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Page); his sons Rhys and Peerse (Melanie); his sister Adriana “Yenny” Ramsden; Aunt Marie Machen; as well as many friends and relatives. He is predeceased by his son Reid.
Frank was born in Manchester, England where he grew up and trained as a commercial artist. After moving to Canada, he did display work at Woodwards Department Store, where he met Barbara. Upon leaving Woodwards, he trained and qualified as a Journeyman Plumber and later as a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic. He ended his career at the City of Edmonton as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
Frank was an avid sportsman. He was an accomplished skier and taught skiing at the Edmonton Ski Club for several years. He also had a black belt in Karate and taught it to the Air Cadets for several years. He loved to fish, hike, backpack, and do most outdoor activities.
Special thanks go to the staff of the General Hospital on 9Y who gave him such good care in his last days.
There will be no funeral at this time, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
