Wesley “Wes” John Tweedle
June 13, 1940 – June 3, 2017

It is with absolute sorrow that the family of Wesley John Tweedle announces his passing on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 76 years. Wes was born in Lindale, where he and Julia chose to call home, farm their land and raise their beautiful family. Wesley will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of more than 50 years, Julia; children, Kathryn (Matthew) Leither, Bradley (Sheila) Tweedle, Barbara (Milo) Gloss and Bruce (Samantha) Tweedle; grandchildren, Julianna Leither, Jarrod Tweedle, Adrianna Tweedle, Conor Tweedle, Anthony Foley, Connor Foley and Chrisaundra (Trever) Wheale; great-grandchildrem, Allison and Dayna Wheale; siblings, Art Tweedle, Sam (Ethel) Tweedle, Steve (Lorena) Tweedle and Dorothy (Russell) Hoshowski, as well as by numerous extended family and many, many wonderful friends. Wes was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Cora Tweedle; infant brother Clarence and brothers, Edward, Ross and Roy Tweedle. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 4708 – 50 Avenue, Drayton Valley on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Jaya Rajan, SAC. A time of visitation will be held immediately prior, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Tweedle family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Murphy and all of the staff at Drayton Valley Hospital, Drayton Valley Home Care and Tanya Hines at Drayton Valley Cancer Clinic for their incredible care and compassion. In honour of Wes, memorial contributions may be made directly to CT4DV, S.T.A.R.S., or the Drayton Valley Cancer Clinic.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Sorry I was in Salt Lake City when I heard of Wes passing and was unable to attend the service. It was a pleasure knowing Wes.
