It is with the deepest sorrow for our family to announce the passing of Len Webber on November 18, 2021.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Jean Webber (Graden), his daughter Maureen Stokowski (Husband Dwayne Stokowski, Son’s Kevin Setzer [Alexandra] and Brandon Setzer) and his son Douglas Webber (Son’s Noah Webber and Aidan Webber).
Len was predeceased by his mother and father Mary (Miller) and George Webber of Stony Plain, Ab.
He spent his entire life within the town of Stony Plain where he attended school, met his wife Jean at her family’s coffee shop and started his family and spent 36 years working at the County of Parkland, retiring in 1989. Len made countless friends throughout his life and very much enjoyed his time camping, fishing and curling with those friends. He was an avid member of his community and his church, where he enjoyed many years singing in the choir and for a time, the organist of the fellowship and member of the Men’s Club. Len also enjoyed spending time at the family cottage during summers and would often commute to work so we wouldn’t have to leave during the summer months. Len was a calm and gentle soul who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of WestView Health Centre for their kind and generous care they gave while he in their care.
