WANNAMAKER, Wilma Marie Frances (nee Brown)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Wilma Marie Frances Wannamaker, nee (Brown).

Wilma showed great strength as a breast cancer survivor; however, at the age of 88, after struggling with heart health, Wilma passed away on September 22, 2022 in Fort Saskatchewan.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 3:00 pm, Monday, October 3, 2022 at Serenity Funeral Service, Fort Saskatchewan, 9914-103 Street.
After the Celebration, Wilma will be flown to Toronto where she will be transported to her final resting place beside her husband, in Wellington, Ontario.

Wilma is survived by her son Gerald Allan (Jerry) Wannamaker and daughter-in-law Skye Ann Wannamaker, nee (Patterson); her daughter Carol Ann Wannamaker; grandson Darryl James Wannamaker; grandson Kent Wannamaker, his wife Hollie Wannamaker, nee (Ward); and, their two children, her great grandchildren, Brooke Wannamaker, and Evan Wannamaker.
Wilma was born in Wellington, Ontario on September 11, 1934. She married Allan Harold Wannamaker on May 24, 1952. They lived in the Toronto, Ontario area for many years.

In September of 2014 Wilma moved to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta with her family. Wilma enjoyed volunteering in the Fort Saskatchewan Hospital Gift Shop for over 5 years until she moved to Dr. Turner Lodge, Fort Saskatchewan. She thoroughly enjoyed her 2 years at Dr. Turner Lodge where she made many friends. Wilma was a caring and loving person who always put her family first. Friends and family alike will miss her.
