Wanda Lee Mudry

With the deepest of sorrow, we announce the passing of our beautiful Wanda Lee Mudry, our loving Mother and devoted friend. She left us peacefully on the evening of Friday, July 12th, 2019 in her residence in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The funeral will take place on Monday, July 22, 2019, at Hope City Church 2225 – 66 Street NW, Edmonton at 1:00 pm with a public viewing one hour prior to the service.

Wanda was born on November 17th, 1962 to Kay and Russell Mudry and was one of four daughters.

She leaves behind her only daughter Suzanne Beinert and long-time boyfriend Ferlin Schacker.

Wanda was well known in her community and had worked at Safeway for almost 37 yrs. Her warm smile and big generous heart were bestowed onto those around her daily. She was regarded to many as their favorite. She was also known as the sticker lady, as she loved giving tokens of joy to the many children she would see daily. Her biggest joy was to bring smiles to others by simple gestures or kind words.

Wanda loved rock music, traveling, going out with friends to her favorite restaurants, her two cats, and spending time with her daughter, boyfriend, and family.
She had a laugh that was not only one of kind but contagious to all of those lucky enough to hear it. Her green/blue eyes sparkled every day and her hugs were big and strong. She was fiercely loyal to those she loved, empathetic, and kind to strangers. She loved animals and had a gentle and compassionate spirit.
Of all the things she loved most was giving, but little did she know that the biggest gift we could ever all receive was her.
