Christian and family, I was saddened to hear of Veda’s passing. I remember her when I was in the library at Athlone. Always a caring smile and so devoted to you, Christian. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family. May the wonderful memories of your Grandmother stay in your heart forever!

I don’t even know where to begin, Miss Veda was like a 2 Nd mom to me after my mom had passed away, everytime I would walk into our local pub and Miss Veda was there I had to go over and get one of her special hugs that she passed out to each and everyone of us. Her hugs would take away every pain and sorrow you had, her hugs would make your biggest problem seem so little, her hugs would make you feel like your at home being hugged by your mom, her hugs made you feel so warm and so safe. Miss Veda was not only beautiful on the outside she was beautiful on the inside to. Her smile would light up any room when she would walk in. She would listen to you if you ever needed an ear, a shoulder to cry on she was always there. I will keep you beautiful smile in my memories and I will keep your warm hug wrapped around me until we meet again Miss Veda. My condolence s to all the family and friends that had the pleasure of having her as a friend. Love you long time Miss Veda.
Your friend always,
Loretta and Family.

We are all saddened by the news that Veda has left us all. She was a very sweet and kind hearted lady. Veda knew our whole family and used to see her at athlone school, the bargain store and Giant Tiger.

My greatest memories and moments of Veda is when I was in Elementary school, the one person who I couldn’t wait to see after school finished was Veda and my mom. They would always be there waiting for me to finish. Veda would always treat me with chocolate and candy for being good and even give me presents for Christmas, birthdays etc. You were one of my best friends “Grandma” is what I always called you and you always smiled when I called you that. Until we meet again and I will never forget you❤️
