Rita est décédée paisiblement à l’âge de 81 ans des suites d’une longue bataille avec la maladie de Parkinson. Elle laisse dans le deuil son fils George et sa belle-fille Shanda; ses petits-enfants Amy et Adam; ses frères Georges et André ainsi que ses sœurs Cécile et Hélène. Elle fut précédée dans la mort par sa sœur Claire et son conjoint de fait, Don.
La famille désire remercier de façon toute spéciale la merveilleuse équipe du centre d’hébergement CapitalCare Dickensfield car au fil du long séjour de Rita, ils sont tous devenus comme une deuxième famille pour elle.
La crémation a déjà eu lieu et, selon la volonté de Rita, il n’y aura pas de service funéraire.

Rita died peacefully at the age of 81, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease. She is lovingly remembered by her son George and daughter-in-law Shanda; grandchildren Amy and Adam; and siblings Georges, Cécile, André, and Hélène. She was predeceased by her sister Claire and her common-law spouse Don.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the loving staff at CapitalCare Dickensfield; they were a second family to Rita during her lengthy stay in their care.
Cremation has taken place. Per Rita’s wishes, there will be no service.

God saw her getting tired,
A cure was not to be.
So He wrapped her in His loving arms,
and whispered “come with Me.”
She suffered much in silence,
Her spirit did not bend,
She faced her pain with courage,
until the very end.
She tried so hard to stay with us,
Her fight was all in vain.
God took her to His loving home
And freed her from all pain.

To George and Family. We are so sorry to hear about Rita’s death. Your tribute was a kind and loving one. She was very brave and was also so thoughtful and kind when we had an opportunity to be with her. She has left her legacy in a wonderful son (George), daughter-in law (Shanda) and grandchildren (Amy and Adam). We wish her peace.
