Usoa (Usanda) Busto, age 71, passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of Sunday, June 17th, 2018 in Edmonton.
Born in Santiago Chile on June 30, 1946 to Santos Busto Mujika and Concepcion Berasaluce Gasca, Usanda moved to Toronto, Canada to pursue her career as a scientist and academic at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health, University of Toronto. In addition to being a loving parent and professional, Usanda was an avid reader, passionate traveler and lover of food.
Usanda is lovingly remembered by her three children Pedro, Amaya, and Joaquin; her grandchildren Luna, Massimiliano, Sebastian, Nicolas, Anika, Leia, Leo and Jules who called her Meme; her three siblings Mirentxu, Javier and Iñaki; and the family members that she lived with and loved including Cecilia, Ana Maria, Declan, Kris, Olivia, Noelia, Gabriel, Jackson, Brooklyn and many others.
Memorial donations can be made directly in her name to a charity of choice.
