Ken, Greg & Ron and Families:
From the cousins of Charlotte (her mother’s side). Thanks to Elaine for the link for the funeral. As I contacted each, I was asked to pass on condolences and sincere sympathy to the families. Such wonderful memories you have. We have our memories too, the letters from Germany including the sad news of Aunt Ottilie Witzke passing, their arrival to Manola. I even shared my bedroom with Charlotte for a few weeks and was in grade five with Hugo. Poor guy had to start in grade one at age 14, but he moved up quickly and caught up with me before the end of the school year. Of the many cousins from eight aunts, five are still with us: Alfred Mielke, Nellie Hildebrandt Readner, Lilly Hildebrandt Barke, Georg and Harry Dej.

Charlotte was indeed a treasure for her husband, my brother Ed, and her family and friends.
I remember her willingness to have me stay in her home while I attended Bible School. I was fortunate to enjoy her kindness and hospitality.
When our families grew we were often her dinner guests. She was such and excellent cook and baker. I stil taste her fine baked goodies.
She was an amazing seamstress. I was the lucky beneficiary of her kind work for me.
In the by and by we will be reunited and will enjoy the glorious heaven for all eternity. What an amazing inheritance we have.
God bless us all.
