Toni Vanderleest


Surrounded by his loving family, Toni Vanderleest, long time resident of Drayton Valley, passed away at Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the age of 84 years. Toni will forever be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Lies; daughters, Janette (Dale) Snider, Connie Jackson and Debbie (Todd) Hartigh-Slayter; grandchildren, Dylan, Rebecca, Christopher, Stephanie, Tyler, Justin and Reay-Anne; great-grandchildren, Ryker, Kaidyn and Kayleigh; brother, John; sisters, Francis (Al), Cathy, Willi (Jack), Toni (Wayne) and Petra, as well as by numerous extended family and close friends. Toni was predeceased by his parents, William and Nellie and brother, Leo. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 4708 – 50 Avenue, Drayton Valley on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. A huge thank you to all who touched dad’s life and shared a cup of coffee ~ In honour of Toni, memorial contributions may be directed to Drayton Valley Health Services Foundation, CT4DV, 4550 Madsen Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta T7A 1N8.

Uncle Toni was almost father like to me, and one the greatest men I have ever known on this planet. He will be greatly missed by all my family Diane and children Lance wife Lindsay and son Mason, Adam wife Nicole and Brooklynn.

Uncle Toni will forever be missed but never forgotten, for he will live on in all our memories and every time we see Auntie Lies and their greatest accomplishments, my cousins.

I will never see and laugh with you again Uncle Toni but I wouldn’t be the man I am today without you.
