Pat Meertens

I worked with Marlene since 1977. Would meet Marlene for coffee and lunches. My sympathy for her family.

Jeanne Gitzel

Marlene will live on in each of us and be missed as she was loved! She put a lot of living into her long productive life’s journey!
Beyond hugs, words are all we have left. I have learned that grief is really love. Marlene touched my heart in so many different ways. I have so many loving memories of the times we shared!

Lillian Limberger

Marlene and I were friends for 40+ years. We both started working for the City of Edmonton (Planning Dept) in 1977 and we both retired in 1999. Since then we have gone down town for lunches regularly (Bistro Praha was still our favorite). She was a dear friend and I will miss her.

Donna MacDonald

My late husband, Don, was Marlene’s cousin and we shared many wonderful lunches with her and Helmut. She was such a lovely and kind lady and Don and I were very privileged to have her as a dear cousin and friend. She will be missed so much.

Ardath Schmierer Effa

So sorry to hear of Marlene’s passing. I tried to talk to her several times but she didn’t call back. We talked occasionally on the phone and I will miss her. I am an older cousin . Sorry I missed her memorial service if there was one.
