THOMPSON, Martha Antonia (Tomaszewski)

It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved Martha Antonia Thompson, who passed away on March 4, 2022, at the age of 89. Martha was just one month away from her 90th birthday.

Martha was a kind, generous, selfless, strong, talented and loving woman who was devoted to her family, friends and loved ones. She was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt and always a friend. She had a positive impact on so many people and was a mentor to more. We will so miss Martha’s big smile, wise words and wonderful laugh. Rest in peace, dear Martha.

Martha was survived by her children: Brian (partner Veronica and children Travis and Kylee); and daughter-in-law Lisa (children Jessica, Erica, Alexandra, Charles); and Carol; and Janet (partner Dennis); siblings Thomas (Evva) and Victoria (Bill); as well as a large and loving extended family and many friends. Martha is also survived by her great grandchildren, whom she loved so much.

Martha is predeceased by husband Noble, son Roger and granddaughter Kara, and siblings John, Joseph, Frank, Peter, Walter, Josephine, Annie, Amelia and Caroline.

A cremation is to take place and A Celebration of Life will be planned in the future.

In lieu of flowers, donation in Martha’s honour may be made directly to The Kidney Foundation of Canada. Children’s Hospital.

So sorry to hear of your loss. We were neighbours when you lived in Calder and I used to babysit you kids. Your mother was a kind and loving woman who showed me many kindnesses when I was growing up. No doubt she will be missed very, very much!

When we lived in Devon many years ago Martha & Noble lived close by their door was always open and one was greeted with a smile.
Martha loved her garden and would proudly show Nobles handy work.
A very loving home indeed.
Rest in Peace.
