Thomas Marc Janisse

-

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Father, Grandfather and Brother, Tom Janisse in Edmonton, AB on April 9, 2018.

Tom leaves behind his Son Marc, and his wife Lindsey (Calgary, AB) and Daughter Kori, and her husband Taras St.Jean (Beaumont, AB), as well as his cherished Grandchildren Bradley, Emily, Katie and Avery.

Tom will also be missed by his 7 siblings and their families, Patrick Janisse, Angie Bernard, Susan Maziak and Fran Mastromattei (Windsor, ON), Marianne Simpson (Chatham, ON), Teri McInnes (Calgary, AB) and Tina Martinez (Saskatoon, SK) as well as many close friends.
Tom lost his wife, Mady, to cancer in January 2017. Tom and Mady were life partners for 48 years and Tom missed Mady each and every day since her passing.

Tom was born on August 3, 1945 in Windsor ON, to his Father Marc, and Mother Lucie, who predeceased him.

Tom spent his early years in Windsor, ON and moved his family to Edmonton in 1982 where they lived and raised their 2 children. Tom explored a variety of careers in his life, but always returned to accounting and tax services. Much like his Father before him, Tom could always be found repairing things or tinkering in the garage. He will always be remembered for his kindness, patience, easy laughter, and his unique sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.

Tom requested to be cremated.

A Reception and Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held at King Edward Park, Small Hall                                                8008 – 81 Street NW, Edmonton, AB on Saturday, May 26, from 1:00 – 3:00pm.

Dear Kori and Marc and families.

I worked with Mady and attending night school with Tom in Windsor.
Your dad and I would go to the library to study, however, your dad said he had a boat and we should go boating !! So much for studying !! Dad was always into the fun side of life .
Many times I ended up at your grandparents home and met the whole family. I have many enjoyable memories of dining with the family. Eventually I introduced your dad to Mady and you know the rest of the story !!!

I could not ask for better friends then your mom and dad !

You dad was always ready help a friend, always had a joke to share and the sound of your dad laughter would bring a smile to everyone’s face. They were always kind, generous and loving .

I missed your mom and dad when they moved out west, but when whenever they were back in town, we had that instant connection. Your mom and dad were so kind and loving and I was fortunate to have them as my friends. The world would be a better place if we had more ” Tom and Mady ‘s ”
Always remember that your parents were so proud of the both of you ! We will miss them !

We send you our love and condolences. !

Please know you will always be in our thought and prayers.

Kori and Marc, your dad will be forever in our hearts. We have never known a kinder and more loving person. Always had a laugh and a joke for us and would give you the shirt off his back, if it was needed.
We send our condolences to you both and know that he is with the angels in heaven and your wonderful mother.
