THOMAS ALEXANDER BRETON

-

Our dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother has passed away.  He was born and raised in Telfordville, AB and was very proud of his Irish heritage.  As a young man, he attended Lakeland College where he developed a love of husbanding animals, and although life was a challenge physically due to post polio issues, he worked hard, raised 2 wonderful children, developed an acreage with various types of animals, and continued to persevere.  He had a keen interest in building environmentally sound homes, producing alternative methods of power, living “green” and farming responsibly.  He had a great sense of humour with a ready smile, a joke or two, or a story.  He has been in declining health for several years, living for the last 3 years at Salem Manor Nursing Home.

He’ll be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharon; sister Kay Fraley (Ohio); son Garth (Skarleth) Breton (Arizona); daughter Heather Klatt (Lyle Stewart); and 6 step-children Shelley (Chris) Jones, Shane (Kelly) Siemens, Clayton Siemens, Clark Siemens, Jason Hassen, and Jon (Shelley) Hassen; 4 grandsons Evan Breton and Bobby, Wyatt, and AJ Klatt; in addition to numerous “adopted” grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents William and Lorna Breton, 3 siblings David Breton, Linda Gooley, and Gordon Breton, wife Lorraine, and niece Lorna.

A most heartfelt thank you to Dr. Byers and the staff at Salem Manor Nursing Home for their devoted care of Tom.
