CARSON, Thelma Olivette (nee Harms)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Thelma Carson on December 5, 2013 in Edmonton, Alberta.
Thelma is survived by her children: Maureen (Gary), Dianne (Garry), Patricia (Bob) and Alan. She will be remembered by twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, extended family members; sisters: Iona and Phyllis in Ventura, California.
Thelma was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Donald; parents Connie and George Harms and brothers: Sidney, Ross and Ken.
Thelma was born on August 12, 1920 in Carleton, Alberta (now Barrhead). She moved to Edmonton at the age of 15 years and resided there until her death. She married Donald Carson in 1939 in Edmonton, AB. Thelma and Donald were active in square dancing where they made many dear friends.
A Memorial Service for Thelma will take place on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Serenity Funeral Chapel, 10129 Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton, AB.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Basu Unit of Capital Care Lynnwood for their care and compassion while Thelma struggled with Alzheimer’s disease.
