Thelma lived with her parents in Montreal, Quebec until her marriage to Clifford McNeilly in 1951. They enjoyed life together for 52 years before her husband pre-deceased her. They enjoyed travel, touring Europe and North America on many occasions. One highlight was an anniversary cruise around the Hawaiian Islands.
Their first born was Cheryl, followed by Wayne, and finally Glenn. They loved their grandchildren, including Chris, Jon and Jordan birthed by their daughter; then Andrea and Melanie, Wayne’s daughters; and finally Nicole and Courtney from Glenn.
Their married life was spent living in Laval, Quebec. When Clifford passed away in 2004, Thelma moved to Brampton, Ontario to live with Wayne and Ruth in their home. Eventually she relocated with them to Edmonton, Alberta, first living in their home. When her health began to decline, she took an apartment in a Seniors’ complex, Shepherd’s Care, and eventually moved to their long-term care centre.
Thelma loved to knit and crochet. She enjoyed many hours speaking with her friends. Her love for God and her church were also evident.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Evangel Pentecostal Assembly, 4461-50 Street, Edmonton, AB
