It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frieda Tauber on September 20, 2021.
Frieda will be dearly missed by her husband of 57 years Wilfred Tauber; son Richard Tauber (Shauna); her beloved granddaughters, Brianna Matchett (Cody), Brittany Friesen (Nick), Carly Ritter (Robert), and Tia Mallory (Andrew); precious great-grandchildren, Ryker, Kinsley, Janessa, Aletheia, and Mason; sisters Elli, Gert, Phyllis (Elmer) and sister-in-law Daphne; brother Ken; several nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Frieda was predeceased by her daughter, Sherri.
Frieda loved people and had the ability to make friends feel like family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, she knew how to be a great friend. She devoted a lot of time to caring for her children Sherri and Richard. Sherri had cerebral palsy and Frieda campaigned for her often to make sure she had the best care, and that Sherri always had a smile on her face. She was a member of Southside Pentecostal Assembly and a dedicated volunteer at their seniors’ events. Frieda enjoyed baking, sewing, and taking on various projects to make gifts for family and friends. She also would fundraise for the Good Shepherd Society and take part in the Christmas bake sale to make sure no one felt forgotten at Christmas time.
Frieda is no longer with us but the memories of her will not die, she leaves a legacy of care, generosity, and deep lasting love.
Funeral services will take place at Southside Pentecostal Assembly on Monday at 10am. You are invited to join in virtual attendance at this link: spa.online.church. Burial services will be private for immediate family. In Frieda’s memory, donations to Southside Pentecostal Assembly or The Gideons International would be appreciated by the family.
