One of the strongest memories of all my years playing rugby was Tamara running down the sideline with the ball, with literally 3 woman hanging off her trying to take her down. One woman was not even touching the ground, she was hanging and bouncing off Tamara’s back. Tamara ran like these three women were dust bunnies on her jersey. I don’t even think she broke a sweat. The strongest woman I’ve ever met, but also one of the most sweet and kind. She was a great teammate. I will carry her memory forever, and share the story of her great strength with my daughters.

I am shocked and saddened by this news. Tamara and I worked together in Fort Mac. She was always so supportive of us, our dogs and the work we did. Rest well Tamara and my deepest sympathies to your family.

I worked with Tamara in Fort McMurray and later as a fellow DARE Mentor in K Division. She epitomized what a police officer and good human being should be. She would be the first to roll up her sleeves and ask what she could do to help. She will be so missed from our RCMP family and as a wonderful friend. To her family, co workers and friends, my sincerest condolences.

I learned a lot from Tamara when I first joined and always got caught up swapping stories about rugby and our love for the game. It was always nice having her around the detachment to pick her brain and experiences in policing. We caught up at HQ a few months back and I’m really glad we did. Condolences to her family and loved ones.
