TAIT, Pauline

With a deep sense of sorrow and loss, our family announces the passing of our mother and grandmother Pauline Jean Tait at the age of 56 years young.

Pauli is survived by her two daughters, Sherrell Knapton and spouse Jackson Mtengeni, Britney Knapton and spouse Marvin Collentine, her grandchildren Lexus Garrett, Ciaran Collentine, Mylah Mtengeni and Zendeya Mtengeni. She is also survived by her mother Jean Erickson, her sister Connie Saunders.

Pauli will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She lost the love of her life only 8 short months ago. Pauli was always strong, brave and courageous during her own health struggles, remaining positive and encouraging to others in spite of her own grief. Pauli loved people and getting to know them. She had a beautiful singing voice and could play the guitar just like her dad, which she took great pride in. She cared about people and this was evident through her many family gatherings that included friends of the girls. She was quick to forgive, always. By far her greatest passion in life was her grandchildren. She spent many hours on video chat with them when they could not see her in person.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on October 23/22 from 12:00-4:00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Norwood Branch 178, 11150-82 St., Edmonton, AB.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to all those who assisted with the care of Pauli in her final days on Unit 21 at the Royal Alex Hospital.

Memorial donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation in memory of Pauline Tait.
