It is with great sadness and love we announce the sudden passing of Susan Kehler on February 26, 2014 in Edmonton, Alberta. Susan was born in Blackpool, England on March 05th,1934. She immigrated to Canada in 1951 and lived in Carmen, Manitoba, where she met her husband Art Kelher. Following their marriage they moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 1953.
She leaves behind her husband Art Kehler; her sister Mary St Denys and her husband Neil of Red Deer; her grandson Michael Kehler of Edmonton, and her close friend Trish Andrews of Edmonton.
They had one son, Larry Kehler, of Edmonton, who predeceased her in 2010. Her parents,
Sarah and Tom Davy moved to Edmonton from England in 1952 and have predeceased her.
Susan worked for several years for Safeway Canada and after retiring she and her husband did the care taking of the apartment block where she lived until her death.
A Celebration of her Life will be held with an open house from 2 to 4 pm at her home on March 9th.
She has been cremated and her interment will be performed in the spring with a small family ceremony.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the paramedics for their care and assistance, the doctors and nurses of the Royal Alexander Hospital for their concern, care and attendance to her.
