Susan Faye SEELEY

Susan Faye Seeley passed into the loving embrace of her Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the age of 70 years.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, James Seeley; her beloved children Jennifer (Rob), Todd (Christine) and Andrew (Megan); and her much loved grandchildren Bradley, Jeffrey, Emily, Breanna, Ashley, Jessie, Florence and Fitzjames.  She will also be missed by her sisters Gloria (Bruce), Mary (Rob), Laura (Dale) and brother John (Shirley) and numerous much loved nieces and nephews.  Susan was predeceased by her parents Douglas and Edith Willard.  Susan will also be missed by the congregation which whom she worshiped for many years at St. Michael Catholic Parish.

Susan worked for Catholic Social Services for 16 years, initially in the child at risk programs, and later in disability adult services.  She had a deep compassion for those who were vulnerable, and felt it was her calling to build relationships with them and help them feel safe.

Susan’s family is deeply indebted to the care she received from the staff of the Edmonton Cross Cancer Institute, the University of Alberta Hospital and the Wetaskiwin Community Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Edmonton Cross Cancer Institute Foundation, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.

 

 

Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Service Chapel, 4702 – 51 Avenue, Leduc, AB.

A Funeral Service will be held in Susan’s memory on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Parish, 5105 – 45A Street, Leduc, AB.
