STEWART, Robert Allan “Al”

Early in the morning on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, Al slipped peacefully from this world.  He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years Maxine; children Sean (Alice), Darren (Teresa), Danielle (Dave); grandchildren Everet, Paige, Brennen, Brynn, Jenna, Tamasin, Caden and Derek.  He is also survived by his siblings Marlene (Jack), Dale (Jan), Don (Lynette) and Brent (Pam) along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

Al was born in Vawn, Saskatchewan on March 15, 1940 and raised on the family farm where he found his love of animals.  As a young man he moved to the Peace Country where he met and married Maxine in 1967.  With the boys in tow, Al and Maxine moved the young family to Leduc where Danielle was born and Al lived for the remainder of his life.

Al immensely enjoyed visiting and relaxing with family and friends while exploring various camping destinations throughout North America.  His reminiscing of the stories and adventures abound and were enjoyed by all.

Family came first.  He was a Hockey Dad, a Swim Dad, a Baseball Dad and a Volleyball Dad; he put much time and energy towards raising the kids.

He gave much and took very little.  He dedicated his life to family, to his work and enjoying moments with family and friends.

He will be forever loved and sorely missed.

A Celebration of Life will occur a a time and place to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
