It is with broken hearts and great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son and brother Jesse Levi Edward Staples on October 9, 2020. Jesse was 32 years old, born September 17, 1988 in Leduc to Kimberly and Barbie Staples of Leduc.
Jesse graduated from Leduc Composite High School in 2007 and later graduated with honors from CDI College as a Pharmacy Technician. He also later worked in the hospitality industry.
Jesse lived in Calgary for a few years and loved the scenery while walking along the river trails and he became quite the photographer. Also, much to his sister Jordan’s chagrin, he became a Flames fan. But back in Leduc and Edmonton, he loved going to watch and cheer on the Oilers with his dad and sister. Jesse was so proud of his baby sister and was very happy to see her finally marry her best friend Tyrel Wannamaker. Some of his happiest times were spent with the family at Buck Lake, first as a kid at Hauser’s Cove, then at our family cottage. Jesse enjoyed the boat rides and even caught a keeper fish this summer. Jesse had an infectious laugh, a great smile and he loved his family and friends unconditionally!
Jesse will be forever loved and always remembered by his parents Kim and Barbie, his sister and brother-in-law Jordan and Tyrel Wannamaker, his paternal grampa Roy (Loret) Staples of Leduc, his maternal grama Bev Wiederhold of Oshawa, ON, Uncle Mick (Karla and children Mateo and Joshua) of Leduc, Auntie Dory, Auntie Aida (cousin Kyle) all from Ontario, Uncle and Auntie by choice Kyle and Lynda Nelson. Jesse had many friends that he loved. Many have been a great source of comfort for us in these past days. He would want us to mention them: Sean A, Kristen K, Marshall M, Corrina C, Melanie L, Shane S.R, Bridget B.J, Carla L, Ron L.
Jesse was predeceased by his paternal grama Rita Staples, maternal grampas Don Wood and Gord Wiederhold, paternal Uncles Randy, Lindsay and Dennie Staples, maternal Uncle Tim Wood and special friend Jennifer Nelson.
With Covid 19 restrictions, only those that are contacted will be able to attend. We thank you for your understanding and support.
Hug your loved ones today as tomorrow is never guaranteed.
Kim, Barbie, Jordan and Tyrel
