Stan Trobec

Stan Trobec, 93 of Edmonton, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2014 in Edmonton, Alberta.

He was born in Italy, served in the army there, moved to Canada as a young man, married Magdalena Bratina, and started a new family and a new life.

He was extremely loving and proud of his three children: Martin (Trish) of Calgary, Frank (Jane) of Edmonton and Tina (Dan) of St. Paul. He had six grandchildren: Randy, Amy, Karen, Colleen, Francesca and James. He also had twelve great grandchildren: Cody, Kaylee, Evan, Jasmine, Lily, Jonah, Madelyn, Benjamin, Emily, Rebekah, Kerri-Lynn and Jasmin. He is survived by his sister Olga Pavlin in Edmonton and brother Viktor in Slovenia, as well as nieces, nephews and friends.

He worked hard all of his days, giving his family everything they needed. He enjoyed camping, gardening, vacations with mom and walking. In his later years, he loved to cook, read and write.

We thank God for Dad and we will cherish him and our memories of him forever.

My Uncle Stan was a kind and gentle person, and also had a good sense of humour. My mom (his sister) and I will miss him dearly.
