Solbak, Cheryl Lorna

-

It is with sadness and much love that we mourn our loss of Cheryl Solbak on October 18, 2019.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Trevor of 46 years, and her children Kirsten (Chris), Kevin (Julie), and Kendall (Angela). She will be affectionately remembered by her grandchildren Sydney, Kailey, Hannah, Trevor, Luke, Anton, Eve, and Holden. She will also be greatly missed by her mother Jean, and her brother Bill (Ellen).

Cheryl was a loving wife and mother and amazing Nanny to her grandchildren. She had become a second mom to many. She loved her family with everything she had and took pride in taking care of them.

Cheryl’s passion was to care for others.  She started her working career as a registered nurse’s assistant. After getting married and having children, her need to take care of others never dwindled.  Cheryl directed her caring nature to her family as a homemaker, yet her desire to care for others would also spill over to friends, neighbours, and even perfect strangers.  She had a love for people that could be seen by everyone.  Cheryl could be found making new best friends in the line at the grocery store, and we should all be a little more willing to be so kind.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11:00 am at Eaglemont Christian Church, 5002 62 Street, Beaumont, AB. with Pastor Marlo Jenkins officiating.

We at Lehua Studios, Cheryl’s hula studio, are so saddened to hear of her passing. We have missed her at classes for her kindness and friendship. Our only wish is that we had known how sick she was so we could get one last hug. She will be deeply missed. We extend our aloha to the family. Sandra Thomsen
