It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to a loving wife, beloved mother and grandmother Sharin Bertha Smith who passed away at the age of 69 years on April 22, 2022.
Sharin will be forever loved and remembered by her loving husband of 45 years Don and children Michael Smith, Dena Meyer, Tammy (Darren) Zulke; grandchildren Mackenzie Zulke, Danielle Smith, Alyssa Smith, Owen Meyer; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sharin was predeceased by her parents Henry (Clay) Sappenfield and Emma Sauve; brother Jack Cameron; nephew Ryan Allers; in-laws Jim and Lydia Smith; and sister-in-law Diane Bell.
As per Sharin’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a small private family service will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank the Dr.’s and nurses at the CCU unit of the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton, as well as the Dr.’s and nurses of unit 5A7 of the Mazankowski Heart Institute at the U of A Hospital in Edmonton for their care and compassion.
Sharin will be dearly missed by those who knew her best. She was an extremely strong and loving woman who spoke her mind and called a spade a spade. You always knew where you stood with her. Her amazing cooking and baking will be missed as she always loved to cook for the masses. Her strength will be her legacy with those that she passed it along to.
