Siu Sik Wong

-

Siu Sik was born in Kowloon, Hong Kong, the only child of Lincoln Kam Kwan Wong and Agnes Choi Tsoi Mok, both teachers. He came to Edmonton in 1964 where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Alberta.

He worked for 25 years as a real estate appraiser with the firm of Ed Shaske and Associates. In his retirement he enjoyed Chinese calligraphy, poetry, European classical music, and tending his vegetable garden. Quietly and methodically, he brewed more than thirty-three thousand pots of fine Chinese tea for his family and guests at home.

He is lovingly remembered by Yoko, his wife of 50 years; children Sophia and Leo; cousin Rudy Ma (May Ma), niece Karen Ma (Robin Ajello), nephew Karvin Ma (Lauren Bradford), friends and neighbours.

A Graveside Service will be held at Edmonton Cemetery, 11820-107 Avenue NW, Edmonton on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 11:00 am (Map to Cemetery in View More Images.) In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the

To Yoko & Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Siu Sik’s death. Although we have not seen him for many years, we had great pleasure meeting him during music events and more importantly when our daughter was studying the violin with Yoko. Please accept our deepest sympathies and condolences.
Love,
Sheila and Wei
