SIROIS, Aline (Nee Courteau)
March 24, 1935- July 12, 2022
Aline Sirois passed away peacefully and leaves behind many family members and friends to mourn her passing. She is survived by Andre Sirois, her husband of 68 years and children Colette (Keith) Grasdal, Marc Sirois, Gisele Sirois and Michael (Penny Russell) Sirois and daughter-in-law Judy Sirois. Her grandchildren are Arlo (Rosanne Dagg) and Celine Grasdal, Deidre and Jill Gormley, Chris (Nikki), Colten (Haley), Jordan (Chantelle) and Kaitlin Sirois, and Dalton (Courtney Starzynski) and Brennan Sirois. Her great grandchildren are Preston and Joseph Grasdal, Declan and Anson Gormley Romero, Gavin Cramer, Allison, and Corbin Sirois. Aline was predeceased by daughters Lise Gormley, Diane, and Marie Ange Sirois, son Allian Sirois and great grandson Gryphon Grasdal.
Aline Laurence Sirois was born in Zenon Park, Saskatchewan on March 24, 1935, to Maurice and Desneiges Courteau. She was the youngest of her siblings Laurette (Lucien) Moyen, Roger (Lydia, Anita) Coutreau, Paul Courteau, Antoinette (Leonard) Houle, Napoleon (Aline) Courteau. Aline is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their extended families.
Aline greatest love was being with her family whether it was visiting at family gatherings, camping, or many other happy events. Her loving, calm, dignified presence will be sorely missed by all her family, and they will cherish their happy memories of how she touched their lives. Aline embodies her role of wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and we were blessed to have her.
A prayer vigil will be held for on July 22, 2022, at 7:00 pm and a funeral mass will be held on July 23, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Leduc. Interment will follow the funeral mass.
