Sharon Joanne Corbett (nee Hadley)


Sharon Joanne Corbett (nee Hadley), of Edmonton AB passed away on Aug 30, 2017 at the age of 70.

Sharon was born in Red Deer on May 30, 1947 to Dora and Charles Hadley. She graduated from Victoria Composite High School in 1966 and continued on to receive a Registered Nursing Diploma from Edmonton General Hospital School of Nursing in 1969.

Sharon was married to Rick Corbett on August 30, 1969. Their journey together through life was completed on their 48th wedding anniversary.

Sharon worked in Edmonton, Calgary and Kelowna Hospitals as an RN in Labour and Delivery and Pediatrics for 30 years. She had an artistic talent. Her ability to make fabric and any other medium come to life was exceptional and inspired those around her to try new things. A green thumb, love of animals and all things creative kept her busy. She belonged to many societies, charities, clubs and guilds over the years, which connected her with friends and family alike.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband Rick; children Jon (Kelly) Corbett, Amy (Gary) Wedman; mother Dora Hadley; brother David Hadley; grandchildren Jacob, Alexi and Lucas Corbett, Micah, Jocelyn and Zachary Wedman, numerous cousins and extended family.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father Charles (Charlie) Hadley.

A Celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at Sawridge Inn & Conference Centre

4235 Gateway Blvd.  Edmonton, AB, September 13, 2017 at 1:30pm.

Internment at Evergreen Cemetery at a future date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Camp Health, Hope & Happiness Society (
