May God bless her beautiful soul. We knew Janet back in Rainbow Lake. She was a devoted Mom and a strong advocate for her children. She was also a stalwart of her community. Treasure the memories she left behind.

We are very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing and wish to send our deepest condolences. Naturally during this time we often reflect on those that influenced our lives along the way. Your Mom, and all of you are a big part of our most cherished childhood memories. We always had that 2nd mom right next door to keep us in line, hand out those big hugs and of course make those tasty rock candies that we all loved. It is often said “it takes an entire neighborhood to raise a child” Mrs. Scott was the Matriarch of our neighborhood and was looked upon with high regard by all. We know that our mom enjoyed their many coffees together discussing life’s challenges and benefited from her wise counsel. For that we will always be grateful. Hug those kids of yours and take comfort in all the special memories of your mom/grandma . Take solace in the fact that her faith has led her to be with both her lord and your dad.

My condolences to Janet’s family. I have many very fond memories of Janet. I worked with her at the Forestry Office in Rainbow Lake for several years. She was a treasure. Always a quick wit and a saucy sense of humour. A true friend never afraid to speak her mind. Rest In Peace dear Janet.

It is so long since we have seen Janet -your Mom. Rainbow Lake days!! Enjoyed her enthusiasm and sense of humor. Every time I make those wonderful cabbage rolls, I think of her. I’m sure she will sorely missed.
