It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Artur Schulz of Edmonton,  AB at the age of 92 years.
Beloved husband of Gertrud, with whom he shared over 63 years of marriage; Loving father of Sigrid
Irene (Wilfred) and Harold (Sonya); Cherished Opa to Janelle (Chris), Jason (Heather), Justin (Tristyn),
Gavin (Sophie) and Galen and two great grandchildren Bentley and Carrera.
Artur Schulz immigrated to Canada in 1948 and moved to Edmonton in 1949. With a strong work ethic,
Artur made the most Canada had to offer him and became a skilled carpenter. He shared his
craftsmanship with family, friends and his church community, often on a volunteer basis.
Even though dementia took a toll on his quality of life in his later years, he would often say how thankful
he was for his dear wife who lovingly took care of him.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family on the loss of your dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grand father Artur! His life leaves a legacy of service to our Lord and Savior. May God be with you all at this time of sorrow!

Hardy & Doris Sonnenberg

We are sorry to hear of Artur’s passing. Or memory of him goes back all the way to 1949. He was one of those willing souls on whom our parents could count for a solo, to enhance the services of the fledgling church in Edmonton. Later among other woodwork, he built the pulpit in the Hamilton church. The memory of him will always be dear to us.
May the God of all comfort, comfort you and your family (2Co 1:3)
Hardy & Doris
