SCHMIDT, NORMAN

With a deep sense of loss and much love, our family announces the passing of our dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather on January 22, 2022.

He will be forever remembered by his children, Darrin, (Jenny mother of their children) Jordan (his son Riley) (Serenity) and their daughter Raenah, Taylor (Chantal), Jessie; Daryce Betke (Ervin) their daughter Samantha; Doryl (Roma) and their children Dylan (Stacey), Shanna Willson (Jevin) and their son Laken; Daylene Ericson (Dean) and their children Janiya, Amani; Dacey (Shannon) and their children Maddie, Ella, Sadie; Desiree Biefus (Kevin);  Norman’s brother Herman (Helen), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Rose, his parents, August and Nadina Schmidt; sister, Ruth Steinwand; brothers, Reuben and Hilbert; his grandson Michael Betke.

Norman was born and raised on a farm outside of New Sarepta.  In 1960 he took over the family farm and devoted his life to farming, which he loved.

Gerald and Lorraine Inkster send our sincere condolences to the family of Norman. He was our renter on the farm, and we did enjoy visiting with him when he came in to see us and pay the rent. We will miss him and thankfully he is with his family in heaven.
