Sarah was a sparkling and radiant star that shone her light so bright that she touched all those she came in contact with so it is with heavy hearts and much love, we announce Sarah (Robertson) Taylor was called home by her Lord and Saviour on September 15, 2015 at the age of thirty. Heaven is now a brighter place.
Sarah demonstrated her unique qualities from the time she was born with her thick black locks of hair, her love for her four-legged furry feline friends, a true compassion for mankind and a smile that could light up a room the moment she entered. The black locks soon turned golden and we watched her evolve from the little blonde girl with the big beautiful eyes transform into an outstanding woman traveling the world and living in places many only dream of. Sarah initially moved from her hometown in Moncton, NB and settled in Edmonton, AB to attend university to follow her passion of becoming a Respiratory Therapist and consequently adorned her “angel wings” to spread her life-saving gift to patients with respiratory illness in Alberta and Australia. She began a brave and courageous fight against brain cancer in January 2013 and she did not let this define her life. In fact, she lived it more fully than ever marrying her utmost soul mate Matt Taylor surrounded by family and friends on the beautiful island of Santorini, Greece and they joined together in their love of travel and adventure. Sarah possessed a cosmic quality of bringing people together and you couldn’t help but embrace her warmth and heartfelt generosity. She was a leader and wise beyond her years teaching us all about the true bravery of taking risks, how to live and love fully and with every piece of her heart. Sarah has been an inspiration to us all and in particular with her brave fight against cancer.
Sarah will be forever remembered by her husband and love of her life Matt Taylor, parents Joey and Debbie Robertson, brother Matthew (Bethany) Robertson, grandmother Joan Robertson, uncle Don (Marlene) Robertson, aunts Leslie (John) Hunter, Barbara Pack and Angela (Terry) Geddes, cousins and countless friends, extended family and work colleagues. Sarah was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Floyd and Betty Watt and her paternal grandfather, Robert (Bob) Robertson.
Please join us in the Celebration of Life ceremony and collectively unite our memories of Sarah at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Celebration Church located at 7215 Argyll Road, Edmonton, AB being officiated by Pastor Dennis Varty. A gathering will be held in the church following the service.
Memorial donations in Sarah’s honour may be made directly to the Edmonton Humane Society to pay tribute to her love and compassion for animals.

Sarah and I worked together for a short time. Sarah exuded kindness and joy every single day. My sons remember being able to cat sit for her when she would go away (Pepsi and Cola). She was a bright light and led by example how to treat others. Sincerest condolences to Sarah’s family.

I met Sarah in 2007, she was a bright light in a time when I was new and unskilled and felt vulnerable. She was amazing and made those early days at CARNA easier. Immediately I knew how smart, talented, and awesome she was. I also knew she would not be with us long as she moved on to bigger and better things. What a beautiful spirited amazing woman. I was lucky to know her the short time I did. Thank you Sarah, you touched my life. I shall never forget you. My deepest sympathy to Matt and her whole family. Nan Horne

We are thinking of all of you and praying for you as you come to terms with this tremendous loss. We remember Sarah as a lovely happy child, very vibrant and full of kindness. Her smile filled the room. We have been watching the clock all day here in South Africa and counting the time backwards realising that you are preparing to attend Sarah’s celebration of life. May the Lord comfort you and strengthen you as you walk through this valley.
with love in Christ,
Jack & Nancy Whytock

We in the Boissonneault family knew her fondly as Big Sarah as our two younger daughters were often babysat or taken care of by her in church. Always smiling and wide-eyed, she was always kind and generous to animals and humans alike.
