Sandra (Sandee) Berg, 73 of Fort Saskatchewan was reunited with her husband, Ted on March 2nd , 2018. They had been married for 50 years and only apart for 16 months. They now get to dance together again.
Born in Edmonton, to parents, Leona and Cecil Lyle, she lived in numerous cities across Canada in her school years, finally settling in the Fort. There she met and married Ted, and they built a family and a full life on a farm outside of Josephburg.
She is survived by her children Laura (Darren) Murray, Nancy (Mark) Luyckfassel, and Ian (Sandra) Berg; grandchildren Julia, Olivia, Duncan, Ethan, Chance and Stran and the grandaughter who made her “great” – Maria. Sandee has a large circle of family and friends who will also miss and think of her fondly.
She will be remembered for many things, including her talents in the kitchen (making jams, pickles, sweets and soups), and in the craft room (sewing jean blankets, making afghans and quilting projects). She was a proud woman who demonstrated tenacity, strength and resilience throughout her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (Patient Financial Assistance Program) or the Myeloma Society of Canada.
