With cherished memories to comfort us and hearts grateful for a life well lived, Jim’s family announces his death on June 11, 2021.  Jim will be lovingly remembered by Jean, his wife of 48 years; his daughter Stacy (John) Dempster, his son James, and his granddaughters Alyssa, Tori and Sydney; along with his brother Philip (Christine) Sandham, his sister Daphne (Tim) Yates, his mother-in-law Phil Dechant, his sister-in-law Donna Stephenson and his nieces and nephews, Stephen and Bradley Moon, Jessica and Matthew Sandham, Madasan, Ben, Danny, Lexi and Connor Yates, and Bradley Stephenson.  Jim was predeceased by his father and mother, James and Elsie Sandham, his sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Charles Moon, his niece Cherilynn Moon and his father-in-law George Dechant.

Due to Covid restrictions, Jim’s life will be honored with a private family service.  Memorial donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House, the C.K. Hui Heart Centre at the Royal Alex Hospital, or the Parkinson’s Association.

Our entire family would like to extend our gratitude to the doctors and staff of Unit 22 at the Leduc Hospital for the wonderful and kind care they provided to Jim the last week of his life.  We will be forever grateful to Dr. T. Ranieri for the outstanding and kind care he provided Jim for so many years.
