Samuel Streu

-

On July 31, 2017 God called Sam to join him in Heaven. He passed peacefully after a short battle with cancer at the age of 81 in Edmonton, Alberta.

Sam was predeceased by his brother Ewald and will be lovingly remembered by his sister and brothers; Wanda, Henry and Otto and his many nieces and nephews.

Sam heard God’s calling early on and served the Lord unselfishly throughout his life. Spending the last 30 years working at various missions and orphanages in Haiti, Sam brightened many lives. With a passion for hard work, he was always seen with a smile on his face. Sam had a soft spot for children and those that needed a little extra love and would always find time for anyone who needed help. Sam, we will miss you and love you always.

A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, August 9, at 1 pm at Zion Baptist Community Church, 9802-76 Ave NW, Edmonton.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Haiti in Sam’s memory may be made online at mccab.ca/samuel-streu
