Mike Meins

My name is Mike Meins. I met Roy through Scouting. I asked and he accepted to become a leader…and he lead. He enjoyed the outdoors but appeared to be most important to him was being with Jeremy. His friendship will be missed, never forgotten. My sincere condolences to the whole family. I hope all the best for his family. They’ll never be without him.

David Smith

My fondest memory of Roy was him
telling me how proud he was of his
two kids. Today, we will celebrate
a private service in
Wapasu East – Kitchen to remember
Roy. All the Wapasu East – Kitchen
staff will be wearing black ribbons
on their uniform to remember Roy
today.

I thought it was strange that when he told me the only concert he has ever went to was ABBA I had a good chuckle about that. We often called him Jerry springer and he was always a good sport about it. He was a very nice man and will be missed by people who know him and worked with him at wapasu creek lodge. my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
