ROCKNEY, Norman Allan

-

It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our precious partner, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Dad was born in Connor Creek, Alberta in 1929. He leaves behind his loving partner, Barbara Hillacre, his son Bill (Kelly), and daughter Deborah. Dad also leaves behind his seven precious grandchildren: Laura (Tim), Morgan (Andrew), Eric (Jenna), Clint (Kyla), Tammy (Doug), Christie and Trisha: as well as his Great grandchildren: Brennin, Mariah, Darius, Belia, Mila, Makenna, Chiloh, Brielle, Kaileese, Cordai, Austin, Nevaeh, Cali and Jordan. Special brother-in-law Al Nickel. Barbara’s family: Janice (Willy), Lori (Dana). Grandchildren: Mychele (Evan), Larissa (Mitch), David, Sarah, and great grandchild Malach.

Dad was predeceased by his wife Erna, son Marvin, daughter-in-law Brenda, and son-in-law Larry.

Dad was happiest tending his garden of vegetables and flowers. He also enjoyed helping family, friends and neighbors. Dad will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he lives on in our hearts forever.

Our hearts have felt gratitude during dad’s illness and passing because of the many acts of kindness extended to our family.

Bill and Deb so sorry for Norms Passing. He was a great mentor to all who new him. A story teller of days past and present. In life he was always calm with an easy solution as were many of his generation . He had a great influence on may of us in youth and we were honoured to be part of his life. Sadly missed.
