It is with sadness that the family of Ken Johnson announces his passing on Friday, September 6 at the age of 89 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary Muriel and is survived by sons: Richard (Renee), Brian (Pam) and daughter Judith. Ken is also survived by 5 grandchildren: David (Lisa), Paul (Kim), Heather (Matt), Craig (Amanda), Leah (Jon) and three great-grandchildren: Jack, Cole and Graham.
Ken was raised in Calder through the great depression and served as a pilot in the RCAF from 1942 through the war’s end. He continued to serve his country in peacetime to military retirement in 1970. He completed his working life at the Alberta Liquor Control Board.
Ken loved to golf and was a regular player at Riverside for many years.
We will honour Ken’s wishes by having a private family service.
