It is with heavy hearts and fond memories at the passing of Robert Glen Vance, who passed away suddenly May 14, 2014 at the age of 83 years.
Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years Florence Vance, his son Joe (Judy) Vance, daughter Brenda (Barry) Chalk and their daughters: Morgan (Duncan) Taylor-Munro, Ruth and Leela Chalk and 4 great grandchildren.
Bob was born January 30, 1931 NE of Waskatenau, AB, to Edgar and Dorothy Vance the third child of 6. Bob is predeceased by his brothers Joe (Norma-dec) and Walter (Antoinette) Vance (Slave Lake) and survived by his sisters, Mary (Ken-dec) Wahlstrom (Leduc), Irene (Hilmar–dec) Breitkreitz (Red Deer), Dorothy (Terry) McRee (Red Deer).
Bob always faced life’s challenges head-on, with incredible tenacity and good humour. His ready mischievous smile and generous nature will be much missed.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Wednesday evening May 21, 2014 at Serenity Funeral Service, 5311 – 91 St Edmonton.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Jasper Place Baptist Church, 8801 – 163 St Edmonton.
