I can just hear Audrey’s laugh and see her happy smile as she is reunited with Herb, family and friends in our Lord’s paradise.
Since our wonderful phone visit Barb, my mind has been full of precious memories with your family. What fun times we had and I know Mom and Dad enjoyed visiting and playing cards with your Mom and Dad.
In the sad days ahead, treasure the good memories.

We count it a privilege to have known Audrey. What a wonderful neighbour and friend – so generous, creative and resourceful! Before Pinterest and DIY were common terms, she would advise Mom….”Can’t afford to replace your worn lino now? No problem, just paint it” Done! She spray painted dried fall foliage to make impressive table centrepieces for my wedding – it’s a decor trick I still use. She was such an accomplished seamstress! She sewed clothes for Mom’s vintage doll that now decorates my grand daughter’s room. What a rare example of passion for Herb, Pat, Barb, Cindy and Grant. Our sympathies go out to all of you, her family. She has left this world a far better place for having been part of our lives.

Condolences to Pat, Barb, Cindy, Grant and families. I remember your your mom cuddling up to your dad with his arm around her watching tv. They are doing that now watching you and their grandchildren.

I have wonderful memories of the kindness of Audrey during my 12 years in music ministry at First United Church. She was one of the first people to welcome me warmly as “the new musician”. We worked together, with joy, on many afternoon services that the Women’s group provided for the seniors. I admired her remarkable blend of strength and generosity and thoughtfulness. My sympathy to you, her loved ones, as you remember and celebrate her.

It was with a grateful heart for having had the opportunity to have shared in Audrey’s life the past 58 years that I learned of her passing. My dear Mom (Muriel Lander), myself and Audrey shared the same birthdate and after my Mom passed, Audrey would always call on that day to wish me a Happy Birthday I have so many fond memories of times spent with the Rinas family over the years- visits to the farm, (sleepovers in the granary when the new house was being built – I still hate mice! ) visits out at the Shushwaps, square dancing, camping, family get togethers with the MacMillan’s, Lander’s and Rinas’, weddings, showers, birthdays, anniversary’s -all made that much more special by being together with dear friends who became more like family . I take solace in knowing that Audrey has joined Herb, the love of her life, my parents Gerald and Muriel, Don & Ruby, my husband Bob and my dearest friend Donelle in the greatest square dance in the sky. Audrey will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. She will be loved always and forever. May wonderful memories of a beloved Mom, Nana, Great Grandma, sister , aunt and friend bring you comfort and peace as you mourn her passing. “never further away than a picture”. Heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to all. Fondest regards, Gerri Porter(Lander), Elvyn & Diane Lander, Wayne Lander and families peace be with us all
