REBMAN, Agnes (Janke)

Agnes was born near Moosehorn, Manitoba on November 23, 1933 to Adolf and Emma Janke. She lived on the farm with her parents and two siblings until she was 14, then moved to Kamloops to begin grade 7; graduating from grade 10, and working at BC Telephone Co. Agnes moved to Edmonton in October 1955 where she worked for several years. She was saved at 10 years old and baptized at 16.

Agnes met Otto in 1957 and were married on May 10, 1958. They had two children: Gordon and Janice. Agnes nurtured and loved her children, teaching them to love God and many valuable lessons. Agnes loved gardening, sewing, and crafts. She was a supportive and loving wife to Otto, working together for many years, managing apartments for a living.

Agnes was a member of Southside Pentecostal Assembly and dedicated many hours to volunteering (booknook, kitchen,WM, senior tours, greeter, seniors’ group etc.) She worked as an Office Manager at various AMHC senior bldgs.

Agnes will especially be remembered as a kind, generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her example of humility, gentleness and endurance will not be forgotten.

She leaves to grieve her husband of 64 years, Otto Rebman; brother Alfons; son Gordon Rebman (Joyce); daughter Janice Johnsson (Jeff); grandchildren: Julia Strohschein (Ian), Derek Rebman (Priscilla), Bethany Johnsson, Robyn Johnsson (Daylan); great grandchildren: Rory, Owen, & Hazel. She also leaves to grieve nieces, nephews, and many friends. Agnes was predeceased by her sister Erna Buss.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday August 27, 2022 at 1:00pm at Southside Pentecostal Assembly.
